I ordered this light in the satin nickel finish. It did not ship right away even though the site said it was in stock. When it finally arrived I was disappointed in the appearance and chalked it up to the image online not being from a couple of angles. Then I realized after closely comparing the lights that I was shipped to the image online, that the fixture I received was not what is represented online. The fixture I received has no flat edges, the metal part is one smooth continuous surface. It's much more contemporary then the light fixture in the online image. I will be returning it.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The light was not what I expected to get based on the photo. In the photo the base appears to be curved out, but it actually is a recessed or indented curved towards the base. There appear to be more details in the photo. It was not what I was looking for. Had I seen it in a store, I would never have purchased it. Unfortunately I I bought it online now I'm stuck with it. The fixture casts an odd shadow on the ceiling. I would not recommend this light.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Handsome light. I purchased the fixture in oiled bronze finish for a boy's bedroom and it is very dramatic against a white ceiling. It is a little overpriced but still looks good. It would be nice to see the actual product in different finishes on the website.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
